Situated around a 140 acre recreational lake, it is the perfect spot for hiking, boating, and fishing. They even stock the lake with bass, bluegill, channel catfish, and crappie for you to catch. Kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, and bikes are available to rent. The spray ground (splash pad) is great for kids to use in the hot summer heat.
If you’d prefer to be close to Historic Main Street St. Charles, then Sundermeier RV Park is the place to be. Right off of North Main next to DuSable City Park and the Katy Trail, Sundermeier RV Park has over 100 RV spots and an event room that patrons can use.
For a more traditional camping trip, head out to Klondike Park in the Historic Missouri Wine Country town of Augusta. Nestled near the white sand beaches of Klondike Lake, this park offers both tent sites and cabins for camping. Each site has its own picnic table and campfire ring and the lake has bluegill, bass, and catfish for the fishermen of the group. There is also a boat ramp that leads to river access and trails that connect to the Katy Trail.
