Among the many awesome trails in St. Charles County, the Lewis and Clark trail is perhaps St. Charles’ most popular hiking trail. Often described as the most scenic hike in Metro St. Louis Area, the trail is 8.2 miles in total, however is divided into sections and visitors may adjust their chosen distance according to their own needs.
The world-famous, 237 mile Katy Trail is extremely popular with cyclists of all ages, and cuts right through both Historic Missouri Wine Country and Downtown St. Charles, Missouri. Spanning from Western Missouri across the state, the Katy Trail follows the Missouri River, and the former path of the MKT rail line. An STC getaway is made complete with even just a short ride or hike down this popular trail.
